JEITA recently disclosed Japanese domestic shipment volume numbers for the month of June. Shipment volume of LCD televisions showed strong growth of 43.5%, while PDP televisions stood at a standstill and regular color televisions showed a considerable fall of 38.0%. Car navigation systems and car DVD players enjoyed a successful quarter with 20.7% and 82.3% growth respectively, whereas CD players had one of the worst performances with a decrease of 50.7% in shipment volume.
